I am looking into purchasing a tractor (by the sounds of it I should do it by 9/1 since the 3 yr 0% financing expires then) I am looking seriously at the 4 tractors listed . Here is my take so far. I am moving into a new home on 10 ac, need to mow, move snow and then landscape minor hobby farming, general playing around. Would like a FEL, 60 in Mower, blower and tiller to start
BX 2300 v BX2230- WHat is the difference here. I looked at the spec sheets and other than a bigger and heavier frame, I see no difference in the HP or hysdrolics, etc. These seem to be less exp than the JD's but the loader does not seem quite as capable. How do Kubotas in general hold up over time.
JD 2210- I have a small brand bias here but am concerned about the limited CAT 1 3 pt hitch. Will it be able to "grow with me" over time. Cost v Kabota.
JD 4110- This is really probably more tractor than I need but it has the regular CAT 1 3PH and has the 3 yr financing avail.
I know I'm asking for lots of info and I appreciate all your help. I'm posting this on both the Kabota and JD forums for varied, brand bias'd opinions :)

A BX23 is a beefed up 2230 with a factory backhoe.
If you are going to do landscaping, I think the 4110 is your best choice because it is the only one on your list with position control on the three point hitch.
You will find that it is not too much tractor and leveling dirt will be much easier with a more capable three point hitch.
Despite the stats, all the tractors on your list are very close in size and weight. The 4110 has the best hydraulics and is the most versatile. ....

Compare the 7510 and 7610 Kubota to the 4110 Deere. These are all the same sized tractors, and in the same class. The 2210 and the BX Series are subcompacts. The limited 3ph could be a problem for you on the Sub-Compacts. There are several manufacturers that have developed lines of implements for the Sub-Compacts, but they are not full Cat-1 size.
I had a Sub-Com before the 7800 I have now. I kept it for two years and traded, mostly due to the limitations of the 3ph. Tractors are like boats, they shrink every time you use it. You're better off buying a little more than you think you will need. ....

Go up to B7800, you won't be disappointed. You won't have enough to get the job done with the BX line. I also suggest getting your tires filled for the added weight.

Be careful about getting "Tim Allen" syndrome. The BX line and the JD2210 are indeed limited, but you'd be surprised how capable they are. There are SUB-CUT implements available for every chore you listed. As long as you stuck to implements specifically designed for SUB-CUT tractors, you won't be dissappointed.
That said... 10 acres is a gray area depending on how much of it you will be working on. The B-series Kubotas would be more suited to that amount of acreage IF you were planning on playing with large portions of that area on a regular basis.
Of course, the kid in me would buy an M-series w/cab for an acre of land given the chance! ....

I have customers with more then ten acres with the BX's and doing fine. It isn't what I recommended but it was what they could afford. Ten acres is about my cap for the BX size for mowing, that doesn't mean that I would stop at the B7510-7610 either just because of the larger wheels as they are still limited to the 60" deck. That would mean going to the 7800-2910 size. Kubota's reliablity is the model in this industry not to say the others are not good. ....

I have the MF GC2300, fairly comparable to the BX2300. Think carefully about what 3PH implements you'll likely be using and how/for what. I find the implements are capable, but tend to be on the light side. Also, the lack of position control can be frustrating at times. Most of my use is mowing and snowblowing, so it's not a huge deal, but there are times... I think there have been some other threads on subCUT Cat 1 limitations. Try searching the archives to find 'em quickly. Good luck with you decision! ....

1*The 23 comes standard with a back hoe.
2*You can't put a back hoe on the 2230 due to the smaller lighter frame. This means that if you want a back hoe later on down the road you have to buy another new tractor.
